What is the ideal shape for a crossdresser?
If you answered “curvy” then you answered correctly, but also not since it’s a trick question. There is NO “right” way for someone to crossdress!
Every crossdresser has their own style, but for those wondering how to create feminine curves for their look, then you’ve come to the right place!
We’re going to break down everything you need to know so you can look snatched AND fashionable!
To Curve or Not to Curve
Before we get into corsets and stockings (literally!), let’s explain why some crossdressers prefer a curvy figure while others don’t.
Male-identifying crossdressers may biologically have bodies that tend to be more rectangular, while females may have more curves due to their wider hips and body proportions.
For some crossdressers, wearing a breastplate or cinching their waist may add to the thrill or fantasy since they are appearing more feminine in addition to their clothing. Putting on the padding and undergarments to create the figure may also be a deeper part of the experience for them. Some people also like to be subtle when creating their proportions, while others like to emphasize their best qualities.
Other crossdressers may prefer a more natural look out of physical comfort, emotional comfort, or financial security. The cost of padding and waist cinchers can add up, and if the wearer doesn’t feel authentic or if they don’t need it to enjoy crossdressing, then it may not be worth it for some people! It may also feel unnatural for some crossdressers to alter their proportions and they may prefer light makeup and subtle clothing instead.
A curvy figure is not always needed to be feminine (for both crossdressers and women!), and it is ultimately the person’s individual choice!
Cinching Your Waist
When it comes to figuring out how to create feminine curves, let’s start with corsets and cinching your waist!
This is one of the most common ways to create the classic “hourglass” figure and it’s great for beginners since it accentuates what everyone already has – A Waist! Corsets or Waist Cinchers work as you would expect them to, they pull your waist in to create a more curvy illusion.
Using this method takes a while to get used to and waist training in general also does take some time to see long-term results if desired. And while you may want to look as stunning as Violet Chachki, we don’t recommend wearing a waist cincher that is overly tight or uncomfortable. We always encourage looking and feeling your best, but stay safe to stay sickening!
Proportion With Padding
Creating a feminine figure for crossdressers takes a lot of time and experimentation, especially when it comes to padding!
Padding comes in a million different sizes, shapes, and materials. Which is a great thing since that means you have a ton of options! But it’s also a bad thing since you have a ton of options!
Your body, preferences, and budget will ultimately decide which padding you go with, but silicone is one of the most popular types since it moves naturally. This material also allows for easy blending and stretching so it can appear more natural against the skin. Some crossdressers do make DIY padding out of foam or other materials, which can work too depending on your needs!
Your padding type and size will also depend on how you want to design your thigh and hip area. For bigger hips and bottoms, you would need bigger padding or a Hip Enhancer Panty With Padding. A pair of pantyhose or stockings can also help hold or conceal padding, while wearing heels is also an option to help naturally accentuate your backside.
Another good option for helping padding hold in place is a girdle. The tight fit over the hips and bottom will prevent any ‘slipping’ and offer a fantastic female silhouette. We have a good range of girdles for crossdressers in a variety of styles and colours if you feel this is a good option for you.
Adding Breasts to Chests
Breasts are another way to feminize a look and they can be deceivingly simple to achieve!
Depending on your natural chest and breast size, you may be able to tape your breasts together and contour the round edges to make them appear larger. You can also add a pushup bra or a pocketed bra with Silicone Bra Inserts to further build your cleavage.
For a larger or more outward effect, some crossdressers also use breastplates made out of breast moulds. Depending on the type, breastplates can feel, move, and look like real breasts of any size from small to large. This can also add a sense of realism or excitement depending on the person!
Everybody and Every Body Is Different
When it comes to creating a feminine figure for crossdressers, it doesn’t have to include all of these elements. You can cinch without wearing padding or wear a bra without adding inserts, there is no wrong way to crossdress!
Finding the right style and body shape is not an easy task. It takes a lot of trial and error to find what works best for you, what’s the most comfortable, and what’s the most affordable!
